With Sobriety, Anything is Possible
Todd Crandell’s personal experiences and inspirational efforts led to the formation of Racing for Recovery in 2001 — a federally approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping everyone affected by addiction.
There are many roads to recovery, but not all are created equal. In Todd Crandell’s case, traditional dependency programs didn’t provide the support and motivations required to break his cycle of abuse. Armed with a keen understanding of addiction and how the mind works, he set out to develop a modern, alternative approach to overcoming addiction. Based on the premise of converting one’s negative behaviors into positive, productive actions, Racing for Recovery has helped thousands of people overcome their addictions while achieving, and maintaining, the mental and physical health required to live their lives to the fullest.
Racing for Recovery multi-faceted empowerment group offering support group meetings, intensive outpatient groups (IOP), individual and family counseling, interventions, assessments, specialized treatment plans, speaking engagements, and urinalysis testing to help develop and promote a balanced holistic lifestyle.
Drug addiction and other forms of self abuse typically stem from emotional trauma. As a professional counselor and former addict, Todd Crandell has a deep understanding of the thought processes and motivations that drive substance abusers, and the energy required to maintain such a life. Racing for Recovery helps people understand why they choose to use drugs, and how the power of self-esteem and choice is all addicts really need to begin rebuilding their lives, and presents a path for how to re-channel their own negative behaviors into positive, life-affirming actions.
Racing For Recovery has been featured on CNN, ESPN, BBC, The Doctors, USA Today, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Runner’s World & Triathlete Magazines, and in many other media outlets.
