How To Use Team Racing for Recovery™

Register

Click here to register. You must, at minimum, supply Racing for Recovery™ with:
1. Your First Name
2. Nickname
3. Your E-mail Address
4. A User Name (user names cannot be changed)
5. Your State/Province of Residence
6. Your Country of Residence
7. Acceptance of our privacy policy and terms of use

Immediately write down your username and password. Store them in a safe place.

You will receive an e-mail from Racing for Recovery™ that contains a link to confirm your registration. Simply click on the link in the e-mail and then go to Team Racing for Recovery™ to login.

If you do not receive the e-mail, be sure to check your SPAM folder. If you still do not find it and you are certain that the process was completed successfully, send a message from your e-mail address associated with the account to our administrators at, website@racingforrecovery.com.

Include the user name associated with the account and the subject line, “Reset My Team Racing for Recovery Password.”

Login

Navigate to www.RacingforRecovery/Team-Recovery-Community. In the login box in the right column of the page, enter the username and password you used to register for the community. Click “Login”.

Retrieve Lost Password

If you lose or forget your password, you may retrieve it by sending an e-mail from your e-mail address associated with the account to our administrators at, website@racingforrecovery.com. Include the user name associated with the account and the subject line, “Reset My Team Racing for Recovery Password.”

Update Your Profile, Avatar and Privacy Settings

In the menu/toolbar at the top of the webpage and your browser window, mouse-over:

To Edit Your Profile

1. “My Account” > “Profile” > “Edit”
2. Use the “Profile”, “Sobriety”, or “Social” buttons in the center of the page to update information associated with each.
3. Click “Save Changes” when done.

To Delete or Change Your Avatar (this is the image associated with your profile)

1. “My Account” > “Profile” > “Change Avatar”
2. To DELETE your current avatar, but not upload a new one, click the “Delete My Avatar” button.
3. To CHANGE your current avatar:
   a. Click the “Choose File” button
   b. Navigate on your computer to the file you wish to use, select it and click “Choose” or “Save” at the bottom of the pop-up window. (JPG, GIF and PNG files only)
   c. Click the “Upload Image” button
   d. If prompted, click “Save Changes”

To Edit Your Privacy Settings | Activity

1. “My Account” > “Privacy” > “Activity Privacy”
2. Set the viewing rights to your activity stream:
   a. “Logged in Users” – Viewable by all logged in Team members
   b. “Friends” – Viewable by only Team members that you have designated as a “Friend”
   c. “Only Me” – Viewable by only you

To Edit Your Privacy Settings | Friends

1. “My Account” > “Privacy” > “Friends Privacy”
2. Set the rights to who can see your friends list or request friendship:
   a. “Logged in Users” – Viewable by all logged in Team members
   b. “Friends” – Viewable by only Team members that you have designated as a “Friend”
   c. “Only Me” – Viewable by only you

Navigate

1. Use the menu/toolbar at the top of the website and your browser.
2. Use the menu under the “Team” logo.
3. Use the quicklinks in the sidebar to the right of each page.
4. Use footer links at the bottom of each page to interact with other users’, review recent Tweet, and/or read blog posts.
5. Click on any instance of your “Nickname” or avatar/profile image to go directly to your profile wall.

Contribute

1. “Leave a Reply” on blog posts.
2. Post a comment in the “Conversation” / “What’s new…” site activity stream.
3. “Reply” or “Favorite” posts in the “Conversation” site activity stream.
4. Mention “Team Members” by adding the “@” symbol before their Nickname in posts, or by clicking the “Mention this User” button when viewing their profile.
5. Add “Team Members” to your friend list by clicking the “Add Friend” button when viewing their profile.
6. See “Who’s Online Now” in the footer at the bottom of each page.
7. View a random members profile/wall by clicking on the “Visit” > “Random Member” link at the top right of the website and your browser in the menu/toolbar.
8. “Join other Conversations for Recovery” by visiting Racing for Recovery on:
   a. Facebook
   b. Twitter
   c. YouTube
